NPF Dimapur division has refuted the press statement issued by NPF press and information cell of a meeting of NPF Dimapur division with MP (LS) and NPF president, Neiphiu Rio on August 19.
A press note by NPF Dimapur division president, I. Nungsang Jamir and general secretary (adm) Itokhu Chophi, stated that presence of few “disgruntled party workers in a dissident party workers meeting” cannot take the name of the legitimate party headed by Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu.
The division has strongly refuted the news item published on August 21 under the caption, “Dr. Shurhozelie’s leadership has destroyed NPF”, saying the division was still strong, vibrant and intact.
It stated that the news item mentioned the delegates who spoke at the meeting included working president NPF Dimapur, H. Thong and president youth wing Dimapur division, Phyobemo Odyuo.
In this regard, the NPF Dimapur division has clarified that H. Thong claiming to be working president Dimapur division was totally false and that there was no post as working president in Dimapur division.
It also clarified that Phyobemo Odyuo claiming to be the president youth wing Dimapur division was untrue as he was still under suspension from the party because of his anti-party activities during the last cancelled ULB election.
Further, NPF Dimapur division stated that it was amused at the meeting with delegates of NPF Dimapur division comprising of the division office bearers and its frontals and all the 5 A/C units held at Rio’s residence.
