Events marking the completion of three years of BJP-led NDA government at the centre has been organised under the slogan “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan” across Nagaland.
WOKHA: In Wokha the programme was held at Wokha town hall with adviser to chief minister labour employment and skill development Nagaland Dr. T.M. Lotha as the chief guest.
Speaking at the function, Dr. Lotha said the BJP government at the centre was determined to establish itself in Nagaland in the coming general election.
“Very determined to stop the shocking corruption culture in the state, the leaders have even met the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and are working together to make the clean election successful,” he added.
He also challenged the public to get on board the party so that every citizen would be able to enjoy the fruit of development in all spheres, saying God fearing people should join the party in order to bring the much needed change in the state.
Engineer Longshithung, the president of the Minority Cell also highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led government within the three years of time. Chuphathung Odyuo, senior member of the state BJP and an intending candidate from the 37 Wokha AC also encouraged the people to support the BJP government.
Earlier, Meribemo Kinghen, president of the Wokha District BJP, delivered the welcome address while Khonbemo P Kikon, Associate Pastor of the Wokha Town Baptist Church, invoked God’s blessings. Indian Oil Coorporation coordinator for Mokokchung and Wokha districts Kheshe Khiamongian also attended the program.
The Wokha Town Phiro Cultural Club led by Thungaromo Tungoe and Nyanka, The Yomeri Women cultural troupe presented cultural songs, beside a modern song was also presented by Thumchobeni Humtsoe and Alex Tsopoe. Towards the end the programme a video projection on SSSVS anthem Kadam Kadam was screened. Altogether around 750 people from all the four Assembly Constituencies of Wokha District reportedly attended the programme.
The programme was chaired by Nzano Kikon, the president of the BJP Mahila Wokha district and the event was managed by Team Metamorphosis.
KIPHIRE: BSNL Nagaland SSA, NE II circle in collaboration with BJP State Morcha and BJP Kiphire district organised the programme on June 15 at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire.
While gracing the programme as chief guest, deputy commissioner Kiphire, Sedevikho Khro thanked the BJP-led NDA government for the rapid development and introduction of various government schemes for the welfare of the public.
Also speaking in the programme as guest of honour, vice president BJP Nagaland, Er. Senkaathung appraised the gathering about the prospects and achievements of the party during three years of BJP Government in India and also encouraged the gathering to be aware of various government facilities provided by the BJP led central Government.
The presence of organizing secretary BJP Nagaland State, Ananta Narayan Mishra also added a special attention to the program. District president BJP Kiphire, Hopps S.Thonger welcomed the gathering whereas the vote of thanks was proposed by state executive member BJP Nagaland, S Tsasemong. The programme was chaired by general secretary 60th Pungro- Kiphire Mandal, BJP, Tsalichum.
