State chief secretary J Alam disclosed that the State government had set up a High-Level Technical Committee (HLTC) to inquire into the July 4 incident of rock-slide that claimed two lives and injured several others near Chümoukedima gate on NH-29.
Talking to media persons Sunday at Dimapur after arrival from Delhi, Alam mentioned that the committee has been entrusted to check whether the measures taken to prevent rock-slides were adequate or not.
He said the High-Level Technical Committee would submit its report within two weeks and after which the government would take necessary actions.
