The Chakhesang Welfare Union Leriechazou Kohima celebrated its 25 years anniversary at NST Covenant Mission Church, Leriechazou Kohima on Saturday with Küdecho Khamo Advisor for CAWD and Taxes as the guest speaker.
According to a press release issued by the advisor’s offfice media team, Khamo said the anniversary marks a quarter-century milestone, evoking deep gratitude for God’s grace and unwavering guidance.
He further acknowledged the efforts of the founding members and early settlers for their instrumental role in fostering the growth and development of the union in the capital.
The advisor emphasized on the significance of identity beyond traditional attire but also the community’s lifestyle and attitude which portrays the identity of the tribe.
Khamo underscored the need to embrace Christian identity, while prioritizing honesty as a defining trait of the Chakhesang Community. Furthermore, the advisor made a firm stance against the acceptance of laziness, recognizing its potential to erode personal growth and well-being in contemporary society.
Earlier, the program was chaired by Vesatso Tetseo Director (Rtd), invocation by pastor PUBC Kohima, Rev. Vesotsü Rhakho, chairman address by Muhusa Resuh, short speeches by tEA, CEO, Neichute Chakhesang Hoho Kohima, president Dozhohu Tunyi.
