
To enhance the knowledge and skill on how to respond to any emergencies related to natural and manmade disasters a five-day Training of Trainers (TOTs) on Community First Responder(CFR) was held at CKS Hall, Tuensang in November, organized by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Tuensang in collaboration with CD& Home Guard supported by Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority.
Deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Alemjongshi as chief guest, encouraged the participants to be very serious on their training as they were going to become the trainers to disseminate knowledge and skills at their respective blocks.
District Disaster Management Officer(DDMO) in-charge of Tuensang, Temsuwangshi Jamir, underscored that community was always the first responder in any disaster before actual help arrive. More than thirty participants from seven sub- divisions who are going to become TOTs at their respective blocks attended the programme.
