Advisor for Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo has flagged concerns regarding the substandard workmanship observed in the road construction project at Chozuba town and called for immediate investigation

Khamo took cognizance of the photos and video that went viral social media, showing an individual using a blow-torch to burn weeds on the surface of the road. In a letter EE (R&B) Phek, Khamo highlighted that the blacktopping of Chozuba town roads was carried out compromising quality and workmanship, resulting in public outrage. He emphasized that this negligence has led to widespread condemnation of the concerned department and the contractor by the public.

Khamo expressed surprise that the contractor attempted to address the issue by using a gas cylinder to burn grass on Monday morning, apparently in response to the social media posts that had surfaced on Saturday.

Calling for an immediate and thorough investigation into the matter, Khamo sought a detailed report for further necessary action in the best interest of the public.
