In view of the recent outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Phek district, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Phek, Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, has notified Old Town Khel, Phek Village and 1km radius as “infected zones” and Chosaba Village, Phek Basa, Phek Town, Lozaphuhu and Losami (10km radius from infected zone) as “surveillance zone.”
ADC has imposed ban on slaughter of pigs, import and export of Pigs and Piglets and transport of pigs and pork in the notified locations with immediate effect until further order.
