The Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will be conducting the 11th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament 2024 from October 28 to November 2 at Hockey Ground, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The prize money has been enhanced from this edition. In men’s category, the champion will carry ₹1 lakh, runner-up-₹50,000. Losing semi-finalists: ₹15,000 each.
Women’s category: Champion: ₹60,000, runner-up: ₹30,000. Losing semi-finalists: ₹10,000 each.
Individual awards will also be presented for both categories: Best Setter: ₹5,000 each. Best Spiker: ₹5,000 each. The association has invited all interested teams, clubs, and enthusiastic players from within and outside the state to prepare for this tournament.
Entry forms will be made available soon. Meanwhile, KVDA has convened its emergency meeting on October 7 at TYO office Kohima at 2:30 PM. All the office bearers have been asked to attend the same.
