District Congress Committee Kiphire as per the directive of NPCC has elected adhoc DCC office bearers on October 8, by the Screening Re-strengthening Committee for the DCC. A release issued by R L Akamba, vice president stated the house under the convenorship of Zhetovi Sumi, ex minister and Justin Khatomong as secretary elected Thritsali Sangtam as president and ten other vice presidents including Thsithrongkyu Sangtam, Shumew Yimchunger, Rithrongmong Yimchunger, Tsasemong Sangtam, Yangseli Sangtam, Sepithong Sangtam, Pithrongto Sangtam, Litingse Sangtam, TJ Kius Tikher and Throngathe Sangtam besides other office bearers.
Meanwhile in a separate release, 60 Pungro-Kiphire assembly constituency Congress (I) as per the directives of NPCC elected the adhoc 60 ACCC office bearers and executive committees with the approval of the house on October 8 under the convenorship of RL Akumba ex MLA and A Limsangwu Yimchunger as secretary.
The house elected R. Kihoto Yimchunger, Pungro town as president, and six vice presidents including Tsipithong Sangtam (admn), Y. Tsipi, R. Tsintsu, Y. Thrisipi, Setsiba and Makhiam.
