DPDB meeting held

The monthly DPDB meeting for Zunheboto district was held on October 14 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall under the Chairmanship of vice chairman DPDB and DC, Zunheboto, C.M. Tsanglao.
While reviewing the minutes of the last DPDB meeting, the upgradation of Kicilimi Primary School to that of GMS was approved. The board recommended the same for approval of the higher authority. Upgradation of Yemishe CHC to that of PHC was recommended for approval of the government.
The board, while deliberating on the issue of Kids World Montessori School Zunheboto for Government recognition, felt that school should furnish the necessary information about the school and fulfill the criteria for approval. The board has redirected the school authority to submit the same in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with remarks from the Chairman for regularity of member’s attendance in DPDB meeting.
WOKHA: Monthly meeting of Wokha District Planning & Development Board was held on October 14 at DC’s conference hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Ralanthung Yanthan. Minister for Agriculture Dr. Chumben, Parlimentary Secretary for Home Guards & Jails, W. Kithan and Parliamentary Secretary for Geology & Mining and Irrigation & Flood Control Y. Patton attended the meeting.
The chairman introduced the new Board members including ADC Bhandari, Ahola Those; CMO Dr. N.M. Kithan and District Sericulture Officer. The Board approved the proposal of recast schemes under LADF 2008-09.
The chairman suggested some proposals under Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) for Wokha town such as repairing of town hall and construction of rostrum at local ground and the same was approved by the Board. Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben called upon citizens of Wokha town and the officers to co-operate with the proposed vision 2020 of Wokha town. The chairman urged the government servants to protect government properties and serve the people with transparency.
Parliamentary Secretary for Home Guards & Jails and Parliamentary Secretary for Geology & Mining and Irrigation & Flood Control also spoke during the meeting and appealed to all concerned departments to concentrate their developmental works in Bhandari Sub-Division.
