Zeliangrong Heraka Association (ZHA), Zeliangrong Heraka Pailei Baudi (ZHPB) and Rani Gaidinliu Freedom Fighter of India, Cultural and Social Welfare Society (RGFFISWS) Nagaland have expressed gratitude to the former GOC, 3 Corps. Lt. Gen. M.S. Dadwal PVSM, VSM and GOC, 3 Corps Lt. General R. K. Lumba for assisting the whole of the Zeliangrong Community in Nagaland and also in adjoining states of Manipur and Asom.
A joint release issued by Dr. Wilubo Chewang, president, ZHA (N), Nambang president ZHPB (N) and Kithu Zeliang, president RGFFISWS said the 69-Engineers Regiment, Rangapahar provided their bulldozer alongwith diesel and mobil oil for cutting various sites at Azailong Rani colony near Tening for establishing a national monument in the name of Haipou Jadonang and Rani Gaidinliu-the two national heroes from Naga society.
Alongwith the monument, the campus will have a stadium (450′ X 300′), Museum, Library, Weaving and Knitting Centre, Tailoring Centre, School, Boys and Girls’ hostels, Herbal Medicinal Garden, Charitable Dispensary, fish pond cum water reservoir and Guest House etc. To reach the destination from Peren-Tening road it requires an approach road (3 Km) and for which, the army has provided the bulldozer till the completion of these works.
The three bodies also thanked Brigadier Dani, chief engineer, Col. A.K. Gupta commanding officer, captain Shreyaskar Prakash, adjutant, the two bulldozer operators NC Bhatta and L/Nk Bhagwan and also village council chairmen and executive members of the three villages-Azailong, Nchangrum and Mbaupungwa for their active co-operation.
