All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has expressed appreciation to the state government for revoking the Cabinet decision dated September 17, 2024, which had approved the absorption of 147 contractual Assistant Professors under the Higher Education Department as a one-time dispensation.

In a statement, ANCSU president Tenyesinlo Bukh and general secretary Kivinoka A Sema lauded the government’s responsiveness to the outcry of affected parties, adding that it was a testament of the government’s commitment for fairness, justice and the sustenance of quality education, hoping that it would continue even in the future.

All Nagaland College Students’ Union reiterated that quality education remains the only hope for the future of society, especially during these uncertain times when confusion appears to overshadow the future.

It extended sincere gratitude to college authorities, its units, and all stakeholders for positively responding to the call for ‘democratic protest’.
The union asserted that it had been actively involved in the imbroglio and had played its role to the best of its ability.

With the revocation now in effect, ANCSU encouraged students to focus on the upcoming Even Semester exams with diligence, determination and a thirst for knowledge.
All Nagaland College Students’ Union said it remains committed to advocating for the welfare and interest of the students community at all times.
