Advisor of Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak on Thursday inaugurated the District Programme Officer (DPO) Office in Kiphire, in the presence of secretary, Social Welfare, Bodeno S Colo, and director, Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi.
According to DIPR, Wangpang in his speech expressed happiness on the successful completion of the office building. He encouraged officers and staff to use the facility to serve the underprivileged and vulnerable communities.
Director Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi, who chaired the inaugural program, urged the department officials to carry out their duties with dedication. She also welcomed and thanked the attendees, including department staff and stakeholders.
The office building was dedicated by pastor Allison from KTBC North Zone Kiphire. Following the inaugural ceremony, the officials inspected various Social Welfare Centres across Kiphire Town.
The new DPO office is expected to enhance the delivery of welfare services in the district, supporting the department’s mission to uplift marginalized communities.
