Phesama Village Council (PVC), in collaboration with Phesamiapfü Mechü Krotho (Women Organization) and Phesama Youth Organisation (PYO), carried out a surprise inspection on May 8 to check for illegal activities within its jurisdiction.
The drive aimed to curb the sale of illegal drugs, alcohol, and other banned substances, as well as unauthorized water tapping in and around Phesama Village. During the inspection, multiple offenders were identified, and authorities seized banned liquor were seized.
Meanwhile, PVC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a peaceful environment for residents, stating that the village welcomes people from diverse communities while upholding law and order.
However, the council reiterated its firm stance against any disruptive activities, emphasizing that it will not tolerate unwanted social elements—whether involving locals or others residing within the village’s jurisdiction.
