
The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Headquarters, Kohima, honored the children of its drivers who excelled in the HSLC and HSSLC examinations at a felicitation ceremony held at ISBT Kohima. The event featured Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) President, Eng. Medozhazo Rutsa, as the special guest.
A total of 41 students were felicitated, including 26 HSLC and 15 HSSLC achievers. Among them, Nokkai Delimth, a Top 10 HSLC rank holder, received a citation and a cash award of ₹10,000. Other first-division holders were awarded ₹5,000 each and certificates.
In his address, Rutsa praised the students’ hard work and perseverance, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with discipline and ambition. He highlighted the significance of the acronym ANTA—Ambition, Nurture, Tenacity, and Achievement—as guiding principles for success. He also acknowledged the sacrifices of the parents, especially taxi drivers, whose dedication laid the foundation for their children’s achievements.
TYO President Vibeituo Belho urged students to continue striving for excellence and thanked ANTA for its ongoing support to taxi drivers’ families. ANTA President Dziesevituo Solo emphasized the importance of recognizing families who educate their children through honest labor and encouraged parents to support their children’s aspirations.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Dziesevituo Solo and invocation by Bethel Baptist Church, Kohima, pastor Avilie Punyii. A taxi driver, speaking on behalf of his peers, expressed gratitude to ANTA for consistently supporting them both financially and morally.
