NH fetes elected Burma Naga leaders

The Naga Hoho has congratulated all the recently elected Burma Naga leaders, and expressed happiness that one of the elected Naga leaders was being inducted to the union cabinet. “Social unrest and deprivation have been looming in the Naga areas of Burma for the past many decades, despite all these odds Nagas have stood firm for the common cause,” read a joint statement from Naga Hoho president Keviletuo Kiewhuo and general secretary P.Chuba Ozukum. The Hoho said against this backdrop, with the induction of many Naga leaders to both union cabinet and autonomous body, “we strongly hope that the Naga territory shall no longer be retarded, but included in the road map for development activities in all spheres.”
