Rural children seek blessing through Vacation Bible School

Seeking God’s blessing, children of rural areas have been actively participating in the weeklong Vacation Bible School (VBS) which would culminate on Sunday here at the premises of Police Baptist Church, 3 NAP, Tuensang, on the theme “Come and Dine.”
Interacting with this correspondent, pastor of Police Baptist Church, 3 NAP, Tuensang, N. Ritse, said there were 26 teachers, two each for every classes while ten volunteers worked round the clock for every purpose for children and teachers, while two teachers were attending the weeklong vacation bible school for music and choreography and one local director.
The pastor also encouraged the children to be more responsible towards their churches and society when they grow up and further lauded their performances and also the organizers for improving the children through the vacation bible school which he hoped would uplift their own society.
He also appreciated the parents for sending their wards to learn new things through the vacation bible school to face challenges in ‘modern society’ at the same time added that about Rs.1 lakh was spent for organizing the VBS.
Activities of the weeklong VBS included cleanliness and beauty inspection by the Deputy Commandant; General inspection; evening service, boys and girls festival; love feast and competition amongst all VBS family; devotional service, ‘come and dine’ amongst all the VBS family.
On being asked about their functioning and improvement, one of the VBS students said after he attended the VBS he had learnt so many new things about God which he had never known before and lauded the effort made by organizers and teachers to uplift the children to bring the good name of the society. 13 classrooms were divided into five classes-Beginners ABC, Primary ABC, Junior ABC, Intermediate ABCD and Senior with a total strength of 363 students in the age groups of 4 to 14 drawn from various sectors.
