State Bank of India Staff Association (SBISA) Nagaland under the banner of United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU) has called for a two-day strike on September 24 and 25 on certain issues. Furnishing issues in connection with the strike, SBISA deputy general secretary, A. Lolly in a press release said that it opposed privatization of banks; rejects Raghuram Rajan Committee recommendation and rejects Hoda Committee report. It also demanded a stop to merger of public sector banks; not to allow unrestricted entry of FDI in banking sector; not to delete sec. 12 (2) of Banking Regulation Act, implementation of its memorandum of understanding dated 25.02.2008 and expedited settlement of demands. SBISA urged all its units and members all over the state to carry out the strike successfully.
