One person was beaten to death by an irate mob after he was allegedly caught red-handed stealing a mobile phone. The victim was identified as one Shetopong Yimchunger (29), son of Monko of Kuthur village. According to police, the victim was first arrested early this morning but later killed by an irate public at around 10:30 am. Police said further investigation was on.
