State home minister Imkong L Imchen, who is the lead campaigner of the NPF party candidate in the by-election to the 26 Aonglenden A/C, today claimed that “defeat of Congress is a foregone conclusion”.
“It is natural that there’ll always be complaint and counter complaint from the loser camp in any game. Steering at the face of defeat, it is their (Congress) own problem,” Imchen told Nagaland Post on the sideline of Moatsü festival celebration of the Kohima Koridang Union which he hosted at his official residence.
He was reacting to a query on the NPCC complaint with various allegation of violation of the code of conduct lodged with the Election Commission recently. He also reiterated that the NPF stands for fair play and democratic processes in the coming bye-election scheduled to be held May 7 next.
