District Horticulture Officer (DHO) Phek, Imyulepdang Mongro including his wife and driver were killed on the spot when the vehicle in which they were travelling plunged into a deep gorge, around 800 feet, between Phek and Chizami on Monday. Reliable sources said DHO along with his wife Imwatila and driver identified as Arjun were proceeding to Phek to attend an official programme when the accident took place. The bodies of the deceased were recovered only on Tuesday afternoon.
