Eastern Naga Peoples’ Organisation elected a new team of office bearers during its general session.
The house after thorough discussion decided to create few more post and eliminate some of the existing posts according to changing situation and requirements. The new teams of office bearers would be headed by president Mangko Phom, vice presidents-Shilu Sangtam, A. Chingmak Chang, Yunglong Konyak, Khuming Khaimniungan; general secretary Y. Toshe Wungtong Yinchunger, joint secretary Manlip Konyak, P. Pesing, Khaimniungan, R Joshua Sangtam, R.Thsonso Yimchunger, P. Chingau Phom; correspondence secretary Mokokchung Tonglong Sangtam, Dimapur, A. Mosa Konyak, Kohima Thingchem Sangtam, advisory board Nyeiwang Chairman ENLU, Chingwang CLP Leader, Asangba Ex-MP, B.Chuba Chang MLA, Tomgthan, Pohwang Konyak, P. Reno ex PA to DC, Torechu parliamentary secretary, legal advisories L.T Sangtam, Lotam Yimchunger, Haiying Khaimniungan.The newly selected president Mangko Phom has appealed all the people and federating units of ENPO to cooperate and join hands as one and work for the upliftment of the Society in all front. Khoiwang Konyak president Konyak union, expressed gratitude to chief guest Nyeiwang Konyak, minister for education and chairman ENLU, Chingwang Konyak CLP, and all the legislature of ENPO for sparing their valuable time to attend the general session. He also thanked all delegates, Thai Ahom from Assam, Pongchao from Arunachal, cultural troops of Konyak union, the Konyak Nyupuh Shekho Khung for the decoration of hall, all the volunteers led by Konyak students union, the Mon town students’ union and the Mon Town Council for sparing the hall and cleanliness.
