Foundation stone laid at Model vill

Foundation stone laying programme of Model village playground was held Thursday amidst the presence of village leaders, founders and pioneers.
Speaking at foundation stone laying programme of the playground as chief guest ADC Sedevikho Khro said people should do away with selling off their lands to the government for personal benefits rather donate it for free so that the developmental activities of the government would benefit the village and its generation in the long run. Recognised in the year 1967, Model village, 5th mile, Dimapur would be celebrating fifty years of its existence in few years and during the process of its progress, ADC appealed the village members to contribute their effort for welfare of the public and not to obstruct in the way of progress for mere individual interest. He urged the village elders to maintain its statuesque not by words but by deeds.
The playground measuring 550 feet in breath and 600 feet in length has provision for car parking and two approach roads have been already constructed.
Sacred Heart School presented welcome song and cultural item was presented by Model Village youth organisation and women society. Besides chief guest other dignitaries who attend the programme included, Chumukedima EAC and chairman, chairmen of neighbouring villages: Sugramill, Diphupar ‘B’, Sovima, Tenyiphe 2, Kirha , Model VCC Pukrocho and head GB Pulozhol.
