GPRN/NSCN has banned all donations and demands during the festive season. According to an MIP statement, there were reports that a number of “anti-social elements, using the name of GPRN/NSCN officials” were seeking Christmas and New Year donations from shopkeepers and business houses.
GPRN/NSCN said that it has not “authorised” any of its ministry, department and official to seek donation or demand from any shop or office anywhere. “All donations and demands are strictly banned” added the MIP.
The MIP statement said that business houses may contact Kilo secretary at 9862520186 or Crime control cell (CCC) secretary at 9612840169 if there was any demand or donation “notes” claiming to be from GPRN/NSCN.
It has cautioned both “civil and military officials” against violating the “ahza”. Threats, intimidations and harassments caused to business community each year during festive season by anti-socials must be controlled, added the MIP.
GPRN/NSCN also said that it has received numerous reports of anti-social elements lodged in hotels and indulging in criminal and immoral activities. In this regard, GPRN/NSCN informed all hotel managers/proprietors to “strictly insist on identity cards and addresses from the customers”.
If there were any report of criminal/immoral “indulgence”, there would be “surprise raids”. The MIP said that hotel managers/proprietors would be held accountable if they failed to produce details of customers.
