The online Facebook groups: The Naga Blog and NOOBS (Nagaland Open Online Barter or Sell) at the request of their bloggers has started a donation drive for the fire victims of Burma Camp Dimapur on November 15.
A contribution sum of `100 from bloggers who wanted to contribute was collected at the NOOBS Contact Points.
Provisions were also arranged for online transfer of money from bloggers who were outside the state.
In five days, an amount of `8,102 was collected and some bloggers also contributed two sacks of clothes.
Volunteers from Dimapur led by Kevin Yepthomi purchased 55 blankets, 10 bags of rice, 7 bags of potatoes and 4 bags of dal.
A shop owner learning of the mission contributed 5 kgs of achar and 5 kgs of salt. All the items were handed over to the Chairman of the East Colony, Burma Camp Dimapur. The joint online group has thanked all the bloggers for their support and participation in the venture.
