Good Friday observed in Kohima

DIMAPUR: Catholic Churches all over the world commemorated the suffering and death of Jesus Christ for the redemption of the world.
The services of the Church was marked by devote participation of the people in the ‘Way of the Cross,’ ‘Liturgy of the Word of God’, ‘Veneration of the Cross’ and in the reception of the ‘Holy Eucharist’.  According to Fr.C.J.Jaison, Catholic Church, Kohima town this year the Church witnessed huge crowd of people participating in the ‘Way of the Cross’ were more than two thousand people who participated in the Good Friday service.
Kohima town also witnessed the service of the ‘Way of the Cross’ from Old MLA Hostel to the Town Catholic Church. The people participated in the service of the church by observing the day of fasting and praying.
The church would mark Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter) by celebrating the Vigil services with the liturgy of the light and the Eucharist on the night of April 23.
