RAN, Jasokie colony, DCCM celebrate Advent Christmas

Welcoming the coming of Christmas, Redeemer Alliance Network (RAN) Christian Fellowship, District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) organized advent Christmas programme, sponsored by Community Alliance (CA) Tuesday, at DHD premises.
At the programme, Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) Dr. Kezo gave a brief introduction about OST. He maintained more than 20 drug abusers have completed the OST treatment. With the expansion of the programme, he encouraged families and friends to extend their support for drug free society so that the victims of drug abuse would live a healthy life and contribute towards the society. Kezo further extended Christmas greetings to the gatherings.  DHD deputy chief medical officer (CMO) Anatoli while extending Chritmas greetings encouraged the gathering to mark this Christmas as a meaningful and blessed one by sharing, remembering and thanking the Lord.   She encouraged the gathering to be an example towards their peer groups. Anatoli also lauded the families for their support and understanding extended towards the abusers.  Message was delivered by Hallal Christian Church (HCC) pastor Reverend Ravi Agarwal where he spoke about the time of Christmas and its meaning. He also elaborated from the book of 1 John 2:16, 17, Genesis and 1 John 1:9. Later, he encouraged the gathering to give their live to the Lord and to thank Him, for He had greater plans for everyone. The programme concluded with a feast.
JASOKIE COLONY: Residents of Jasokie colony, united North block-B celebrated advent Christmas in a befitting manner Tuesday, at Covenant Institute campus, Lane No. 4/D.
Delivering glad tidings to the gathering, Father Home Church (FHC) senior pastor, Robert Kikon termed that Christmas should not be marked as an event but a day to reinvent the holidays by listening to each other and to spend more time with families. He said that it was a time to share with family, free from social pressure.
He also elaborated from the book of Luke2:14, Phillipians 4:6 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16. 17 & 18.
Kikon further encouraged the gathering to be thankful, joyful and pray without ceasing. He also asked them not to reminiscence about what had been but to look forward for better tomorrow. “God works in a mysterious way”, he added.
At the programme, scripture reading was presented by Mutsiilo Lea Chakessang and Mhademo Odyou, special number was presented by Suzane Lotha.
The programme further followed entertainment session marked by songs, presentation of musical piece and dances. Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by Rongmei Baptist Church (RBC) pastor Gangmuna.
 MOKOKCHUNG : District Congress Committee, Mokokchung (DCCM), hosted a pre-Christmas celebration for the party unit frontals, Tuesday, under the theme “The Love of God”, at the DCC office.  While delivering Chrismas greetings, DCC president, Imkongyanger called on the party workers to be role models of Jesus Christ and be ready to sacrifice for the sins of the people. He said that the ultimate gift of the Almighty God was the sacrificing of His only son Jesus for the redemption of humanity. In the same way, he expected the party workers to dutifully sacrifice.
NPCC member Chuba, called on the party workers to be role models, as well as, in social and religious activities.
The message on the theme was delivered by Rev. P. Longri and invocation was said by Mahila President, Chubasangla. The function was chaired by DCC vice-president, Noktsung. (Correspondent.)
