State chief minister Neiphiu Rio has condoled the death of Er. Hito Visa, who passed away Thursday morning at a private hospital, Dimapur. He was 61.

In his condolence message to Mrs. Kerile, Rio said late Hito, was a well known technocrat and an officer of high integrity who contributed immensely for the welfare and development of the department and the people of the state in his career as one of the pioneering engineers.

“It was his high sense of devotion and capability which led to his appointment as the chief engineer of police engineering project in the early part of 2006, from where he retired on October 31, 2009,” said Rio.

Rio asserted Hito’s death was indeed “a great loss not only to the members of the family, the engineering fraternity and the Angamis in particular but also to the Nagas in general.” Conveying heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family, the chief minister prayed to God Almighty to give them the strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
