NSCN (I-M) union territory-I has stated that it has banned the sale of all types of crackers in and around Dimapur with immediate effect as per the directive of its CAO.
In a press release, NSCN (I-M) UT-I secretary, Akato Swu, stated that the ban was imposed after taking serous note of hazardous effects of crackers and also disturbances caused to the students whose final examination was approaching.
Cautioning that anyone found selling or transporting such items would be dealt with strictly, NSCN (I-M) UT-I has sought cooperation from all the responsible.
