Network of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organisation (NNagaDAO) has asserted that it could jointly organize peaceful protest along with the Nagaland Targeted Intervention Employees Forum (NTIEF) starting from November 1, 2016 to express their resentment towards NACO and NSACS for non-release of four months fund for the last fiscal year 2015-16.
In a press release, NNagaDAO president, Abou Mere, reminded that NTIEF launched agitation against non-release of their salaries (December to March 2016). However, he said the after NNagaDAO executives appealed to NTIEF to give time to NACO and NSACS till October 31, 2016, the protest was kept in abeyance.
Mere said a delegation of NNagaDAO had also visited NACO office, New Delhi and shared its concerns regarding the financial backlog/non-release of fund from December 2015 till March 2016 for the targeted intervention project of Nagaland.
Thereafter, he said several representations and reminders were given to both NACO and NSACS, but the situation remained the same till date. In this, NNagaDAO has appealed to NACO and NSACS to expedite all possible action to ensure the release of pending fund on or before October 31, 2016. Failure to release, NNagaDAO cautioned that it would join NTIEF and start agitation to get justice.
