Expressing concern over reports regarding presence of suspicious elements in the hill section adjoining the foothill under Chandalashung village in Ralan area in recent past, the Ralan Area Lotha Hoho (RALH) has appealed to the SDO (Ralan) to urgently verify the matter and depute security to the area.
In a press note, chairman RALH Hayithung Kikon and secretary, C.S. Ovung, stated that a group of non-locals (6-7) were seen moving around in “suspicious manner.” Ralh also informed that the group was alleged to have been involved in antisocial activities such as ransacking farmhouses and stealing goods and materials.
In this regard, RALH has equested the SDO(C) Ralan to urgently verify the matter and depute Nagaland police “to flush out the uninvited guests from the hill section before an ugly turn of events take place like that which has been witnessed in the recent years.”
Further, the Hoho urged the SSB posted in the area to restrict entry of non-locals to the area without ascertaining their identity/permit from the SDO (C) Ralan.
Meanwhile, RALH also informed plantation/farm owners to obtain permit letter from the concern officer as and when they intend to engage non local labours to work in their farms/plantations.
