Several leftist organizations and women wing of Karbi Anglong District Congress have demanded immediate dismissal of Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang over alleged sex scandal. The organizations in a joint memorandum addressed to Assam governor through DC Kamrup Metro demanded that the bail granted to Tuliram should also be cancelled. In the FIR lodged against the CEM at Nagaon Sadar police station, the victim complaint of alleged rape and sexual abuse.
The memorandum was signed by KNCA, KSA, NSUI, AISA, AIKSU, AKASKU, AIPWA, SYC, ULDC, Mahila Congress, Women Council and RYA.
