Activist killed, another abducted

One NSCN (I-M) activist was killed while another abducted, in separate incidents in Kohima on Tuesday. Police said unidentified gunmen shot one ‘Capt’ David Tangkhul of the NSCN (I-M) in his residence near Razhu Point at around 7 p.m. The activist succumbed to injury in a private hospital. In another incident, one “Capt” Ashun Tangkhul, also from the NSCN (I-M), was abducted from a bus along by-pass route Jotsoma between 5:30 and 6 p.m, while he was on his way to Dimapur. A search operation conducted by police drew a blank.
