Police in Britain claim to have busted a plot to sell intimate stolen photographs of Prince William, the second-in-line to the English throne, and his girlfriend Kate Middleton.
The photos included snaps of both Prince William and bikini-clad Kate enjoying some private moments while they were on a holiday in the Caribbean, and were offered to ‘The Sun’ for 50,000 pounds, according to a report in that tabloid.
One person has also been arrested in this connection, the Scotland Yard has said.
“William was very concerned to hear that private pictures of him and the Middleton family had been stolen. When the suspect’s house was raided they were accompanied by Royal protection officers,” a source close to the Prince was quoted as saying.
In fact, the stolen photographs were part of more than 40 frames of the couple and were held on the digital device of a camera, belonging to Kate’s younger sister Pippa, which was reportedly stolen.
Other snaps included William relaxing with Kate and members of her family, including Pippa, brother James, and parents Carole and Michael. In several portrait shots, Kate posed for the camera in her bikini as she enjoyed a yoga-style session on the beach, the report said.
In another sequence, the Prince was seen wearing a woman’s hat and striking a camp pose like 1970s sitcom star John Inman. Yet another photo showed Kate and William gazing at each other as they took a dip together in a pool — while a number of snaps showed them cuddling.
