Jawans in Delhi comfortable: DGP

State police has refuted media reports that 1 NAP jawans in Delhi were been denied basic necessities. Speaking on the sidelines of NPSA meet, state DGP I. Changkija said initially there might have been some problems, but those have been sorted out and the jawans were presently getting all basic facilities.
On demand of TA/DA, Changkija clarified that 13 % of the jawans’ salary would be added to their allowance, which was “misconstrued” as Rs. 13. He also said that though the transportation charges were borne by the government, the jawans weer given lump sum TA. Changkija also disclosed that around 300 jawans from 2nd NAP would be deputed to Delhi soon.
