Karbi bandh on Sept 10-11

Karbi Anglong – North Cachar Hills Autonomous State Demand Committee (KANCHASDCOM) and three other Karbi bodies have called a 24-hour Karbi Anglong bandh starting 5 a.m of September 10, to protest non-fulfillment of the longstanding demand for creation of an autonomous Karbi state under the provision of Article-244 (A) of the Indian Constitution. Meanwhile, Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front (KLNLF) has also decided to impose a 12-hour Karbi Anglong bandh on September 11 from 5 a.m, in protest against alleged killing of Suren Signar alias Arkli Signar by 5th Bihar regiment on September 4 at Tisson Gaon.
