The department Health & Family Welfare Phek District under Information Education Communication (IEC/BCC conducted orientation training camp (OTC) for various public leaders and NGO’s at Phek village community hall with Mhonchan Tungoe, Dist. Media Officer (DMO) as a resource person on September 7.
Speaking on the occasion the resource person stated that availability of information will trigger changes in health practices and formed a vital component of the preventive, promotive, curatives health care. Leaders must be aware and always ready to extend their best efforts to fight against the disease epidemic and strive towards the changes in health scenario, he stated.
He also stressed on objective of the orientation training and on overview of the IEC/BCC program. He gave a brief talk on the role and responsibility of public leaders and emphasized on the vital of disseminating necessary health information, education to the public and village in respective jurisdiction.
The session was chaired by Moa (FW/Asst); invocation prayer by Council Chaplin Vesuyi, exhortation by Sherutso VCC; short speech by Ezo VHC; benediction by Oren Lotha Secretary LBC, Phek.
IEC/BCC team was accompanied by Nyan Lotha treasury dept.
