Acting on a tip off that some miscreants were “forcibly” demanding money from businessmen at Church Road, Dimapur police apprehended two persons from Church Road Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m. The arrested were later identified as one ‘Pvt’ Vitokhu Chophy (28) of ‘NSCN (K)’ and Kaboto Awomi (31), reportedly a civilian. As per the statement of the accused, they were collecting money ranging from Rs.200-500 from each shop at Church Road. Police recovered Rs. 11,760 and two cellular phones from the accused.
