State Level Hindi Diwas celebrated

Under the aegis of All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union Kohima, the 15th State Level Hindi Diwas was celebrated Wednesday at the Red Cross Conference Hall with Nipusilie Angami, Director, School Education as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the director urged upon Hindi teachers to go to extra mile and promote Hindi education in the state. He further assured of the State Government’s support to promote Hindi education in the state.
Later, Nipusilie released Hindi magazine entitled “Gunjan” and gave away prizes to winners of essay and debate competition.
In the Essay competition, the winners were: First- Vikash Kumar- Mount Sinai School, second- Pushpanjali- Little Flower School, third – (i) H. Payiwo- Dainty Buds (ii) Zhapuchutuo- Bethel Higher Secondary School.
In the Debate competition, the winners for the motion were Brijil George- Model Higher Secondary School, Bengdangmenla- Bethel Higher Secondary School, and Akhono- Dainty Buds in the first, second and third place respectively, while in against the motion, Tsukjemnungla – LFHSS came out as the first, while Khrisna Mohan- Dainty Buds School and Snehal- LFHSS came out in the second and third positions respectively.
Krutsolie Zumu, DIS Chiephozou also attended the function as the guest of honour.
The function was chaired by Zavilhou Angami, vice president ANHTU and Atsula Yimchungru as the leader. Welcome speech was delivered by ANHTU president Hezheto.
