Konyak Union has appealed chief minister Neiphiu Rio not to entertain any move by Aboi and Tobu Area on the issue of “No objection certificate” earlier issued in August 2008 at the KU advisory board level. Konyak Union president S Khoiwang Wangsa in a letter to the chief minister informed that the general body of KU in its general meeting declared “non creation of a new district” within the existing Mon district in any form. KU also said the “No objection certificate” had been declared “null and void” for the time being.
