Admission for M. Com
DIMAPUR: Department of Commerce, Nagaland University, Kohima has released the first list of candidates seeking admission to M. Com programme for the session 2008-10. A release issued by Dr PK Deka, head, department of commerce informed candidates who have already submitted application forms to check their names on the departmental notice board during office hours. All procedures relating to admission including payment of requisite fees will be closed by October 17.

Kuda council informs
DIMAPUR: Consequent upon government notification notifying the change of name in respect of Nagarjan village to Kuda village, the Kuda village council has requested all government offices, educational institutions, churches, business establishments, shops, hostels, individual residential address etc situated within Kuda village jurisdiction and displaying the name Nagarjan through signboards/billboards be replaced with Kuda village within October 31.
Informing this in a release Neingusie Nagi, chairman, KVC has requested all concerned to use only Kuda village while referring to erstwhile Nagarjan inorder to disseminate and gain mass acceptance of the new name at the earliest.
TNAI
DIMAPUR: Trained Nurses Association India (TNAI) has informed all the nurses posted in Mon district a meeting will be held on October 2 at Civil Hospital Mon. TNAI, generals ecretary, local branch has requested all to attend the meet without fail.
Peren DCC
DIMAPUR: Peren DCC will be observing Gandhi Jayanti (International Day Non-Violence Day) on October 2 at 10 am at its office in Peren town. Peren DCC president, Heling Zeliang, has informed all MLAs, PCC members, DCC office bearers, ACCCs, all frontals chiefs, NSUI, DYC, Seva Dal, Mahila and well-wishers to attend the programme.
KSSU
DIMAPUR: Kohima Sumi Students Union (KSSU) will conduct its second prayer day on October 2, 10 a.m. at NCRC Church, Midland, Kohima, with pastor Yehoto Swu, as the speaker. In a press release, the Union has informed all Sumi elders residing in Kohima, Sumi students, invitees and well wishers to come and be blessed.
DLSU
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Lirmen Students Union (DLSU) has informed a social work will be held on October 2, 6 am at Ao Senden Riju, near ISBT. Union president has requested all students to reach the place on time and also extended invitation to all Lirmen citizens of Dimapur and well-wishers to participate in the aid social work.
PWC
DIMAPUR: 17th Freshers’ Social of Pranabananda Women’s College (PWC), Dimapur will be held on October 3 from 12:00 noon. PWC principal in a release said His Excellency Governor of Nagaland will grace the function as chief guest, deputy commissioner and chairperson, DMC as guest of honour and special guest respectively. On the occasion Dr. Joyce Zinyü Angami, a social worker will be felicitated.
