Shamator Church observes golden jubilee

Shamator Village Baptist church (SVBC) Golden jubilee celebration was held from October 16 to 19 under the theme ‘victory over the world’.
Exhorting the gatherings, Kiu’s Chuba, vice president of Yimchunger Tribal Council YTC, urged the people to live in harmony and peace through the celebration of 50th Golden Jubilee. He also pointed out that, “it is a time for reconciliation and not the time for hatred so as to bring a common lucrative in the society”. ‘Killings cannot bring solution but rather create disunity’ he said adding, we must turn up together for the survival of our people and land. Also speaking, Addl Deputy Commissioner Shamator town, asked the people to create oneness amongst them and cooperate with the government and people for more development in the village. He also asserted that the Shamator village church golden jubilee be a turning point for every Christian believers and rededicate new life to the Lord. Praising the Almighty for his endurance and compassion for bringing the people from darkness to light, Alula Yimchunger, Women Organization YWO, called upon the people to stand for the truth and strive for the betterment of the society.
Other speakers included executive secretary YBBA, A. Akhang, reverend Z. Thsankiu, literature secretary during the celebration.
