The superstar, 50, and her friends have even nicknamed film director Ritchie “Material Guy” and believe all he ever wanted during their marriage was a slice of her $700 million fortune.
Britain’s The Sun newspaper reported that she told a pal: “I’m totally devastated that Guy’s turned out to be such a gold-digger. “I thought we’d been on a spiritual journey together for the past 10 years — but obviously I was wrong. He’s just after my money. “I’ve worked my ass off for the last 30 years to get what I have, and now this gold-digger wants to take it from me. “He keeps upping his demands – he just wants more, and more, and more from me. It’s unbelievable.”
Meanwhile, Madonna reportedly plans to continue living in London with her three children despite the breakdown of her marriage. There have been reports that the queen of pop planned to move to New York once the divorce was finalised. But sources close to Madonna insisted she would stay in London with daughter Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 7, and David, 3.
“Everyone expected Madonna to up sticks and go and live in New York, taking the children with her,” one source told the Daily Mirror. “But despite some of the unhappy memories that London holds, she still feels that it’s the best base for the kids. “They are happy at school and she doesn’t want anything to interfere with that.”
