Taking strong exception to Home minister Imkong L Imchen’s allegation made on Tuesday that the State media was practicing “yellow journalism,” the Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has demanded “public apology” from the Home minister, within seven days for questioning the integrity of the State media. DPC also asked the minister to justify his allegation by citing instances when the State media had resorted to “yellow journalism,” and not to generalize the entire State media.While requesting all Editors to take up the matter seriously, DPC further resolved not to entertain any function or press statement relating to the Home Minister if he failed to apologize within seven days.
