It’s not exactly the attire one might choose for a long haul flight. But then Victoria Beckham is hardly the poster-child for practical chic.
The former Spice Girl arrived at LAX airport trussed up in a military style black leather jacket, fitted cap and huge sunglasses as she prepared to board a plane.
Posh teamed the £1,000 Belstaff ‘Cat’ jacket with a pair of high-heeled Christian Louboutin boots, and cut a formidable figure as she stalked through the airport.
With her mini skirt covered by the long length of her jacket, it looked as she had forgotten to wear anything underneath.
Posh looked less like a seasoned traveller, and more like a member of military personnel in the tightly belted get-up.
Italian company Belstaff was popularised by old Hollywood legends such as Marlon Brando who wore the company’s ‘Hero’ jacket.
Stars still clamour for the stylish leathers, among them Angelina Jolie, the Rolling Stones and Madonna to name a few.
The unsmiling singer turned fashion-designer revealed her razor-sharp cheekbones as she left Los Angeles for London.
Posh’s gaunt look gave some weight to one report which claim the fledging designer is stressed and having trouble eating following the news that husband David is planning to jet off to Italy for three months next year.
David is joining AC Milan on loan from his club LA Galaxy in order to maintain his fitness and his spot in the England squad.
But while David decamps to Milan, Posh and their sons will stay in LA as the couple have decided it’s best not to uproot the family.
A source told Closer magazine: ‘Posh’s concerns about David are dominating her life. She keeps waking in the night feeling anxious and is struggling to eat.
‘She’s drummed it into him not to do anything behind her back, and to promise to tell her if anything goes on with another woman, so she can talk him out of it before it goes too far.
The source added: ‘Victoria can’t bear the thought of being on her own. David’s doing all he can to ensure Victoria and their sons feel safe when he leaves..
