Special train introduced

One fast passenger special train has been started running between Katihar and Malda Town daily on an experimental basis up to January 31, 2009.
According to a press note issued by Samir Goswami, chief public relations officer, 5707A Katihar-Malda fast passenger special will leave Katihar at 10.35 hrs and reach Malda Town at 12.30 hrs. 5708A Malda Town-Katihar fast passenger special will leave Malda at 1.30 pm and arrive at Katihar at 3.35 pm.
Further the release added that new air-conditioned 3-tier coaches having 72 berths instead of 64 berths to three (3) pairs of long distance trains of Northeast Frontier Railway like 5960/5959 Kamrup Express, 5934/5933 Dibrugarh-Amritsar Weekly Express and 5930/5929 Dibrugarh-Chennai Central Weekly Express will be attached.
This new AC 3-tier coach will be attached to 5960 Dn Kamrup Express from Dibrugarh from Monday, November 10, 2008 and to 5959 Up from Howrah on November 12, 2008.
New coach will be attached to 5934 Dibrugarh-Amritsar Weekly Express from Dibrugarh on November 11, 2008 and from Amritsar on November 14, 2008.
The same will be attached to 5930 Dibrugarh-Chennai Central Weekly Express from Dibrugarh on November 16, 2008 and to 5929 from Chennai Central on November 20, 2008.
