EHSS celebrates 25 years

Eden Higher Secondary School (EHSS), Dimapur Tuesday celebrated its Silver Jubilee with commissioner and secretary, transport and communication, Mhathung Kithan as chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest appealed the students to express gratitude to God “who is the beginning and the end of all” followed by parents “who are representatives of God on earth,” adding “we don’t have a choice but to be thankful.”
Kithan further requesting the students to develop attitude of gratitude urged them to utilize the “situation.” Highlighting on the “fast explosion” of technological advancement, he called upon the students to be very discreet while making use of them. He also advised the students to be competitive and work hard in order to achieve goal in life. “One has to be better than the best and be ready in life” Kithan said.
Management board chairman, Abemo Ovung in his short speech recalled the pioneers and lauded them for their achievements in bringing up the standard of the school. He advocated that school should not lag behind but to continue developing in their responsibility. Kithan also urged the teachers to mould the children “who are the leaders of tomorrow.”
Earlier the programme began with dedication prayer for jubilee by Rev. Chumben Kyong, followed by jubilee opening song by EHSS choir, welcome and introduction by AHM, Vinod Singh, glimpse of EHSS by principal Motsuthung Kikon and presentations to various dignitaries.
