‘Molestation’ case resolved

Following the alleged rape attempt on a class 9 girl student of Don Bosco School, Chiephobozou, by a teacher of the school on November 4 last and subsequent “revengeful act of physical harassment” meted to the teacher by family members of the student on November 10, the ADC Chiephobozou held a joint meeting with parties concerned on Tuesday.
ADC Chiephobozou Rovilatuo Mor in a press release informed that after detail hearing of evidence and statement from all parties and thorough consultation with selected representatives, the meeting decided to condemn the “indecent/ unbecoming acts of breast molestation” of Miss Neisanuo by her teacher Lohe and that “such behavior” should not be repeated.
The meeting also condemned the “revengeful act” of the family members of Neisanuo by taking law into their own hands and subjecting the accused to physical harassment and “demeaning treatment” inside the school premises in presence of innocent students and teachers.
The “perpetrators” are to apologize to the school authority in writing while the school has been asked to resume normal functioning with effect from Wednesday.
Further, the meeting decided that recurrence of such disturbance and violent acts in the premises of educational institutions should be restrained in future.
“Any act of mischief/complaint should be addressed to the appropriate authority for redressal of grievance, but never by way of taking law into one’s hand,” the release added.
