Minister of agriculture Nagaland, Dr. Chumben Murry while gracing the grand finale of NSACS Naga Idol 3.08 as chief guest said all the 18 contestants are people with full of positive changes, and that by taking part in the contest; they have become more proficient and confident not just in music but also in other spheres of their lives.
The chief guest called up the people to open up and talk of HIV/AIDS awareness, alleging a platform such as Naga Idol could generate more awareness than NSACS alone, adding, “It’s all about partnership” and insisted on the organizers to continue to be stake holders in fighting the HIV menace.
While regretting that Wokha road show could not be held as per schedule, he appealed to youngsters that life beyond school and college was a cut-throat world, quoting there is no short cut to success, at the same time appreciated the efforts of the judges who according to him, were critical yet appreciative.
Appreciating the effort of the organizers, the chief guest said Naga Idol is still in its infancy stage, but have gone though tremendous improvement. He also reminded the organizers that they have ascended into a big industry and also suggested chipping in some ethnic hues, subtitling the local songs in English.
The event in addition saw performances by Nise Meruno and Ruokuovotuo. Idol contestants Naro and Sheneita also presented a duet dedicated to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Earlier, Bedangkokba DC Mkg and President MDACC and Neiphi Kire Project Director NSACS also delivered a short message.
