Christian High School, Niuland celebrated its Parents’ Day on November 15 with Tokugha Sukhalu, IAS, commissioner secretary to the government of Nagaland as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion of 20th Parents’ Day of the school, the chief guest lauded the proprietor and the management team of the school for their sincere commitment to provide education to children, which, in the present context are lacking in many schools because many educational institutes in state have become inclined towards business.
Largely stressing on the responsibility of the parents towards the children, Sukhalu reminded the parents that many parents forget their duty towards their children while working for earthly materialistic things but human resource is more important than all other developmental works. Urging the parents to be more committed towards their children, he said “we should not sacrifice the future of our children because of our selfish reasons”.
As a token of love, the chief guest donated a sum of Rs. 25,000 towards the school.
Dignitaries who attended the function include Honikhu, DIS, Vihuto Yeptho, Member DMC, Khehovi, BDO, Tokuho Neho, Chairman APMC Kuhuboto and Aheto Yeptho, former Congress candidate.
Khevihe Yeptho, the proprietor of the school accorded a warm welcome to all the dignitaries by presenting a souvenir to them. Rev. Viheto Achumi invoked God’s blessing for the function.
